Leslea Mair is a writer, director and producer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has written, produced and directed award-winning documentaries in the genres of science, current affairs, social/political issues, POV and feature documentary with subjects as diverse as Shaolin monks, killer robots, preachers who don’t believe in god and the effects of human activity on the environment. On a lighter note, she has also produced three seasons of lifestyle television on The Prairie Diner, a celebration of food and culture on the Canadian prairies, and a science fiction web series. Leslea has been the President and CEO of Zoot Pictures Inc. since 1998. Over the past twenty years, she has worked with a wide variety of Canadian broadcasters and has been successful in having Zoot Pictures’ content distributed internationally.
