Leah Mallen, a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre and who was also selected as one of six producers internationally to attend the Binger Film Lab in Amsterdam. Leah's first produced film won Best Short Film at the Cannes International Film Festival's Critic's Week which was called Shoes off! with director Mark Sawers. Together they collaborated on the feature film Camera Shy which went on to win several festivals in the US and Leo Awards in Canada. She has headed up development and production at several companies while also producing independently, and has produced live-action, documentary, animation, and interactive content for broadcasters and distributors around the world. Leah has been a mentor and teacher of film and television and sits on the boards of the Crazy8s Film Society (alongside Marc who co-chairs the board), and the Vancouver Cinematheque. She is also the co-producer of the Architecture and Design Film Festival in Vancouver.
