Leah Mallen has been producing film and television content for over 20 years in Canada. Leah's first produced film won Best Short Film at the Cannes International Film Festival's Critic's Week , Shoes off! with director Mark Sawers. Together they collaborated on the feature film Camera Shy which went on to win several festivals in the US and Leo Awards in Canada. She has headed up development and production at several companies while also producing independently, and has produced live-action, documentary, animation, and interactive content for broadcasters and distributors around the world. Leah's content has distributed all over the world, she has collaborated with HBO, BBC, Sundance, CBC, Knowledge, TVO, SVT, AVRO and many others. Currently Leah is in production with several documentaries with Black Rhino Creative in Vancouver. On the scripted front, Leah was selected to attend the ACE Producers's Series Lab in Munich in 2023 with her project The Shepherd, a limited series created by Jennica Harper and Nancy Lee, currently seeking international partners. The limited series is in development with Corus Entertainment, and will be directed by Nisha Ganatra. Leah is also on the board Vancouver's Cinematheque and produces the Architecture and Design Film Festival in Vancouver.
