Jill has 20 years of experience as a successful writer, producer, and director of content ranging from scripted to documentary, book projects to brand films. A fan of monster and kung fu movies with strong female characters, Jill is adapting her marketing communications experience into producing original content for scripted film and TV.
She wrote and directed her first short, "B*TCH" in 2020, which was nominated for a Stinger Award. She is currently writing and directing "Sensei," a documentary short about the first Canadian with Down Syndrome to achieve a black belt in karate. She is collaborating on a series of Alberta-based, female-led genre movies, and "Shelter," a dramatic TV/streaming series based on the real-life experiences of a front-line shelter worker. Her goal is to make fun, beautiful, and thought-provoking entertainment that reflects the important issues of our time.
