Amy Saunders

Amy Saunders is the founder, CEO, and award-nominated leader of the women-identified-led media and publicity firm, AlphaPR. Having worked with reputable companies such as Diva International (makers of the DivaCup), American news organization PBS, Emmy-winning production company White Pine Pictures, horror powerhouse Raven Banner films, Nickelback-founded record company 604 Records Inc., the Documentary Organization of Canada, Oscar-nominees Tuffi Films (Finland) and Film Clinic (Egypt), award-winning production houses Tell Tale Productions (Canada), Wildling Pictures (Canada), and many more, the Toronto-based boutique firm has established itself as an innovative communications and public relations firm with International reach, committed to elevating stories told and helmed by historically marginalized communities and individuals. With a passionate commitment to telling stories created and crafted by and for women, Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, as well as Queer-identifying creators, AlphaPR works diligently to create a new media landscape that not only includes, but holds up stories that shape the world for future generations.

AlphaPR seeks to partner with filmmakers, producers, production companies, and distributors who have a commitment to centering the voices of the historically marginalized, including queer and trans voices, women, and the voices and experiences of BIPOC and creators in our industry. 

Amy Saunders studied Strategic Foresight and Innovation at OCAD University's Master of Design program, from which Saunders brings sustainable foresight and trend-forecasting to AlphaPR’s campaigns and strategy in their holistic and innovative approaches. She is also the first person to ever walk two “ghosts” down a red carpet at TIFF.
